Guided Discovery: Introducing Related Products for Rugs

Visualization is a powerful tool for inspiration. However, in the high-stakes world of rug e-commerce, inspiration without clear guidance can lead to "choice paralysis." We observed that many customers visualize a single rug, but then leave the experience to browse the general catalog, often losing context and purchase momentum.

To solve this, we are launching Related Products - a strategic merchandising tool built directly into the Wizart Visualizer interface.

Note: This feature is currently available exclusively for the Rugs category.

Related Products is a contextual panel that appears right below a selected item in the product list. Unlike random automated suggestions, this feature is fully controlled by your business. You decide exactly which companion rugs your customers see next. This transforms the visualizer from a passive "try-on" tool into an active, guided sales engine.

How It Works: Simple, Strategic, Controlled

We’ve made the setup process seamless within your Personal Account so you can focus on strategy rather than technical hurdles:

  1. Flexible Management: You have full control over how you link your products.
    • Individual Setup: Update companion products one by one directly within the product card in our PIM system.
    • Bulk Upload: For large catalogs, simply specify companion SKUs for each product directly in your upload file (CSV/XLS) to update thousands of items at once.
  2. Contextual Trigger: When a customer clicks a rug in the visualizer, the Related Products block unfolds instantly below the selected item.
  3. Seamless Switching: Customers can try out curated alternatives-such as different sizes, colors, or materials-with a single click without ever leaving the room scene.

Why It’s a Game-Changer for Rug Retailers

Related Products addresses the unique challenges of selling rugs online by linking specific merchandising actions to direct business outcomes:

  • Maximize AOV (Average Order Value): Use the block for Upsell scenarios. Present a premium hand-tufted version or a larger size of the currently visualized rug. Seeing the scale difference in real-time is a powerful argument for an upgrade.
  • Boost Collection Visibility: Ensure customers see the full depth of your offerings. Link different patterns or colorways within the same style family to keep them within your curated brand ecosystem.
  • Optimize Inventory Turnover: Need to move specific SKUs or overstock? Assign them as "related" to your best-sellers in your Personal Account to give them high-intent visibility without extra ad spend.
  • Reduce Drop-offs: By providing "what’s next" inside the visualizer, you eliminate the friction of restarting a search, keeping the customer in the "buying zone" longer.
